Day 1
Cancún
Arrival at Cancún airport and transfer to hotel in the city centre
Overnight stay at Adhara Cancún ***(*) or similar
Day 2
Cancún - Chichén Itzá - Mérida
Pick up the vehicle and drive to the stalactite cave of Dzitnup, then on to the important Mayan site of Chichén Itzá. In-depth visit of the famous structures such as the Kukulkan pyramid, the observatory and the ball court. Then drive to Mérida, the capital of the state of Yucatan.

Day 3
Mérida - Celestun - Mérida
You will visit the city of Mérida, including the Governor's Palace, the Cathedral and the Montejo Palace. Then drive to the fishing village of Celestun. Take a boat trip to the nature reserve, famous for its pink flamingos. Afterwards you will return to Mérida.

Day 4
Mérida - Campeche
Drive to the Puuc region. A visit to the former sisal hacienda in Yaxcopoil and the impressive Mayan sites of Uxmal and Kabah is highly recommended. Continue to Campeche, where several historic buildings have recently been restored to new splendour.

Day 5
Campeche - Palenque
In the morning, visit the charming colonial town with its typical fortifications, which were once designed to protect the town from pirate attacks. A visit to the regional museum in Fuerte San Miguel with the Calakmul burial treasures is highly advisable. In the afternoon drive to Palenque.

Day 6
Palenque - Agua Azul - Palenque
Visit the mystical cult site of Palenque, the realm of the legendary ruler Pakal. Marvel at the Temple of Inscriptions, where Pakal's tomb is to be found. Continue to the water cascades of Agua Azul, nestled in the jungle. Head back to Palenque.

Day 7
Palenque - Chetumal
On the way to Chetumal, be sure to visit two archaeological sites: we recommend Chicanna and especially Kohunlich, with its Temple of the Masks dedicated to the Sun God.

Day 8
Chetumal - Riviera Maya / Cancún
Visit to the modern Maya Museum in Chetumal. Drive to Bacalar and thus to the Lagoon of the Seven Colours with the idyllic Cenote Azul. Continue to Tulum and visit the Late Classical cult site built on a cliff high above the Caribbean Sea. Drive to your beach hotel on the Riviera Maya or to Cancún. Return rental car.
